In the short term, launch markets will focus on small-volume niche markets, such as electronic equipment and camping applications, providing for a scalable production volume and increasing brand awareness. Modular factory lines allow for gradual build-up of production. In the medium term, Heliatek will focus on large-scale markets such as industrial roofing, the automotive industry and off-grid systems for energy supply in emerging nations. There, customers will benefit most from the low weight, new form factors and total cost advantages.
Heliatek’s OPV technology is very versatile and can be used in many different ways. Heliatek will co-operate with OEM companies in different market segments to introduce OPV as a new and exciting opportunity.
